1. Choir Room Refresh
The choir room has been freshly cleaned and organized—ready for all your musical preparations! Just next door, in the Memorial Room, you'll find a collection of items being given away: candles, hymnals, baskets, choir gowns, and more. Feel free to browse and help yourself to anything you’d like. All remaining items will be removed on July 22, so please stop by while there’s still a good selection.
2. Security Volunteers Needed
Become a guardian of fellowship — we’d love to have you on board!
Looking for a meaningful way to serve the church community? We’re seeking dedicated volunteers to help keep our church safe and welcoming on weekday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Your presence makes a real difference — creating a warm, secure space where everyone feels at home.
If you’re ready to step up and be part of this vital ministry, reach out to Dan Lutes or call the church office at 506-458-8348 to learn more or sign up.
Thank you for considering this rewarding opportunity to serve.
3 . BSBC is Hiring: Administrative and Social Media Assistant - Closes July 3
Brunswick Street Baptist Church (BSBC) is seeking a dedicated Administrative and Social Media Assistant to support the ministry and operations of our church for 20 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be organized and tech-savvy.
This position plays a vital role in connecting the congregation and community through digital and in-person communication. Interested individuals should submit their application via email to receptionist@BSBC.nb.ca by Thursday, July 3, 2025.

What is Project Zero and a Neighbourly Homes pod? Neighbourly Homes would be a fully unmanaged, low-cost, easily deployed transitional housing service in courtyard style communities with 14 individual sleeping units, as well as shared bathrooms and showers. The living units contain a small desk, a single bed and a locking door to allow residents to feel safe. The pop-up communities would have 24/7 access, staffing and wrap-around services. The entire program would be advised under a board of individuals who have experienced homelessness to ensure experience informed decisions. For more information: www.facebook.com/12Neighbours.
If you feel led to support this effort, please drop off your donations at the Church Office by Wednesday, July 16. Thank you for helping to extend care and dignity to those beginning a new chapter!
5. Summer Ashrams
Don’t miss the opportunity to attend a Christian Ashram! An Ashram is a time for learning, prayer, reflection, fellowship, and rest, focused on deepening one’s relationship with Jesus Christ and cultivating spiritual growth. Come alone or with your family!
Nova Scotia Christian Ashram: July 10-15
New Brunswick Christian Ashram: August 7-10
For more information, please contact Don & Pat Burdon at (506) 471-6051 or Doug & Doris Ashfield at (506) 472-7519.
8. GHLC Share a Wage
Green Hill Lake Camp’s summer program runs with a team of 60 staff, many of whom are students offsetting high education costs. Our Share-A-Wage program helps make it possible for these young people to serve by providing financial support through friends, family, and church communities.
In 2025, our goal is to raise $40,000 to help cover summer employment needs. Gifts are used at the discretion of the GHLC Board to support the ministry and its dedicated staff.
Your gift helps make the summer camp experience accessible and gospel centered. Thank you for considering how you might support our summer staff through Share-A-Wage.

7. Muffin Ministry: Aug 3
On behalf of our brothers and sisters who make a weekly evening trek around the city to visit those sleeping rough, and the members of your Social Action Team, thank you ‘muffin makers’ for your faithfulness serving in this way. Your sweet generosity is more than just baked goods; it’s a tangible expression of care and hope in Jesus’ name.
Our Street Ministry team need muffins as soon as Aug 3 for our Sunday night outreach program. As we prepare for the busy summer months, we’re now aiming to have 4 dozen muffins each week to ensure we’re well-stocked and ready to bless those we serve. If you are able to help in this way, please place 12 muffins, individually wrapped, in a large zipper locked bag, and label the bag “Street Ministry”. Don’t forget to include your name and the delivery date for which you signed up. You can place the labeled muffins in the upright freezer in the main kitchen.
Please click the link below or call the church office (506-458-8348) and our admin team will be pleased to do the online registration for you. Jesus spoke of offering cups of cold water in his name. Muffins, we believe, offer the same opportunity to bless others for Him.
8. Pray for Tidal Impact Youth and Leaders
From July 7 to 13, our students and leaders will be in Prince Edward Island participating in Tidal Impact—Atlantic Canada’s premier youth missional event that brings together middle- and high‑schoolers for a transformative week of community service, worship, high‑energy rallies, and spiritual growth. As they partner with local host churches and serve the surrounding communities, we invite our congregation to lift them up in prayer.
Pray that each participant will encounter God in a powerful way, with hearts stirred and eyes open to His presence in action. Pray for breakthroughs in their own spiritual journeys and for deeper understanding of Jesus’s call to mission. As they collaborate and build relationships, may unity, encouragement, and joy shape their witness. Pray for safety in travel, energy for service, and for moments of refreshment and growth.

12. Adult Bible Studies
There is so much going on at our Church that sometimes it is hard to keep track! To help ease your calendar preparation, here is a brief list of programs and events that we have on offer:
13. This Sunday’s Worship Gatherings: July 6
In the Sanctuary, the worship team will be led by David Steeves and Gloria Tranquilla. In the Gym, worship will be led by Julianne Moore.
This Sunday, we will be celebrating at the Lord’s table. We will also be commissioning our Tidal Impact Team.
Pastor Ross will be in the gym. Pastor Ross will be sharing a sermon on Jonah Chapter 4, when God asks, “Is it right for you to be angry?”
Dr. Keith Bodner will be in the sanctuary. Of his sermon titled “Frenemy@Midnight”, he says, “This weekend we’ll start off with a question that most of us can probably answer in the affirmative: have you ever been really annoyed because someone has woken you up in the middle of the night? If that’s something you’ve experienced, then this morning’s message is for you, because that is exactly the subject: once upon a time there was someone sound asleep at midnight, when behold, a good friend showed up and began knocking at his door because he needed three loaves of bread for a visitor who had arrived! Despite a vast amount of irritation, the request was granted in these nocturnal circumstances. Jesus tells this story in Luke 11, and today we will discover some surprising and encouraging applications for our lives as disciples in this particular season.”
Whether in-person or online, be sure to join us this Sunday morning at 10:30 am.
14. A Heartfelt Thank You from the Wightman Family
The Wightman family would like to say thank you for all the care and kindness that so many of you have shown us during Rick's illness and since his passing on May 9. Every prayer, card, meal, phone call and visit helped carry us through a very challenging year, and continues to keep us going as the weeks go by. Rick's Celebration of Life was a loving good-bye. The bright coloured clothing was perfect and exactly what Rick wanted. Finally, thank you to those who donated food and looked after the reception, so that we could meet with friends in that familiar setting. Nellie, the "lime ricky" was genius!
With many thanks,
Lori, Jerry, Jake and Dylan Wightman
